Abha Weekend

Our exciting journey begins in the beautiful city of Abha with a welcome from our tour guide at the airport, followed by hotel check-in. We then embark on a rich cultural tour that takes us to the city’s most prominent historical and artistic landmarks.

We start our tour with a visit to Shada Historical Palace, the former headquarters of the Asir Emirate which has now been transformed into a museum telling the story of authentic Asiri heritage. Then we move to the Al-Muftaha Cultural Village, where we explore traditional and contemporary arts in buildings inspired by traditional Asiri architecture.

The path then takes us to the vibrant Art Street, where stunning artworks harmonize with colorful umbrellas and modern cafes. We conclude our tour at Al-Madina Al-Alia (High City), which offers breathtaking views of Abha and Tihama Asir, with its distinctive buildings that blend modernity with local heritage.

We end our eventful day with a dinner before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.

We will start our second day in Abha by having breakfast at the hotel,

then we will embark together on an exploratory journey to Jabal Al-Souda, the highest peak in Saudi Arabia. This majestic mountain rises more than 3000 meters above sea level and is characterized by its juniper trees and perpetual fog.

After that, we will visit the Historic Village of Rijal Almaa, a 350-year-old architectural masterpiece comprising 60 palaces built from stone, mud, and wood. We will tour its museum, which preserves the region’s heritage through a unique collection of photographs and artifacts.

After having traditional lunch, we will head to Tuesday Popular Market, one of Asir’s most famous markets, where we will enjoy shopping and buying traditional local products. Then we will visit the Al-Raqadi Museum, which contains nine sections showcasing the region’s heritage, from copperware to traditional costumes and handicrafts.

We will conclude our eventful day with a dinner before returning to the hotel for overnight stay.

On the third and final day of our trip, we will start our day with breakfast at the hotel before checking out.

We will then head to Fatima Museum for Asiri Art, where we will enjoy a unique experience learning about this authentic traditional art and its rich history.

After that, we will embark on an exciting journey to the Historic Al-Habala Village, located about 57 kilometers south of Abha. We will enjoy an amazing cable car ride that pierces through the clouds and offers spectacular views of the majestic Al-Sarawat mountains.

After having lunch, we will conclude our trip together with a visit to Abu Khayal Park, which features a panoramic view of Abha city. This beautiful park connects the Green Mountain (Dhara) with Abha city via suspended cars, and includes green terraces and a distinctive restaurant that is considered a prominent tourist landmark in the city.
